The Crown of the First King is back in stock after a long absence.
This giant apes that wander the mountains above Azor are less inclined towards maudlin reflection on ancient times than the small peoples of the land, but that doesn’t mean they are completely devoid of sentiment or any sense of history.
The Crown of the First King is perhaps their most valuable artifact, a chain of heavy golden plates, dotted with bright fist-sized polished gems. Even the largest of the giant apes today cannot fit it around their head – it could be worn as a necklace by most. They tell tales of the First King, his rivalry with poisonous giant serpents and the last Tyrant Lizards of the far lowlands, and how he threw down the stone houses of the cold-blooded folk, driving them out or burying them under the mountains.
No-one alive today knows whether these tales are true, but if asked, the apes will simply, silently, point at the crown as evidence of their ancestor’s might.
